BrightBytes raises $33M in latest funding round
- BrightBytes' Series C funding round raked in $33 million, with venture capital firm Insight Venture Partners, Bessemer Venture Partners, Learn Capital, and Rethink Education among investors.
- The ed tech developer produces Clarity, a platform that helps K-12 administrators link spending to learning outcomes.
- According to a release, approximately a fifth of U.S. schools use Clarity to track technology spending in access, classroom, skills, and school environment to help inform administrators’ decision making.
The new funds will go toward globalizing Clarity’s user base and building out the platform.
Insight Venture Partners has begun to develop a reputation for education investments. Notable past investments include leading funding rounds for Pluralsight, a professional development library, and Instructure, which developed the Canvas learning management system. It also participated in a funding round for online learning marketplace Udemy.
