Dive Insight:
The startups will move into a 25,000-square-foot incubation building space in Chicago when construction is complete. DeVry says it will evaluate the recruited startups based on their approaches to teaching, learning, and improving student outcomes, along with other criteria. The selected startups will have a “global test kitchen” to try out their beta products, DeVry says, including the company’s American University of the Caribbean School of Medicine, Becker Professional Education, Carrington College, Chamberlain College of Nursing, DeVry Brasil, DeVry University, Ross University School of Medicine, and Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine. Besides providing coaching and access to schools for the ed tech startups, DeVry may also invest in them.
