- The four-year Christian liberal arts university had reported in February that it may be forced to close because of financial issues, including a rejection of financial aid paperwork by the U.S. Department of Education.
- All employees have been laid off, but some are returning as volunteers so that seniors can graduate on May 10th and students can retrieve their transcripts.

The university’s acting president, Robert "Tom" Walden, told The Paducah Sun that it’s possible the school could stay open after June 30 if it receives funding from the sale of real estate, private donations, or other sources. The Kentucky Baptist Churches Association will sponsor the graduation ceremony.
