Dive Insight:
Tech companies are increasingly partnering with online learning platforms to create courses designed around their operating systems. Google announced a partnership last week with Udacity to train Android app developers. Linux is another operating system, designed to work with free, open source software. Upon completing the second edX course, students should be prepared for an entry-level job in IT. The same goes for Udacity’s Android course, which costs $200 per month, or about $1,200 for average completion, and could get at least a lucky few hired by Google.
