Dive Insight:
The survey was conducted by Vital Source Technologies Inc., an e-textbook publisher, through Wakefield Research, which polled more than 500 college students. The surveyed students also reported that 45% of them don’t go 10 minutes during their school day without using a form of technology. They also reported the average longest time they could go without digital interaction was 64 minutes, up from 59 minutes last year. Interactive textbooks were the most cited technology used in their studies, followed by mobile learning — courses that use apps, social media or productivity tools, flipped classrooms, and massive open online courses.
