UW-Madison to offer MOOCs this fall

- As part of its new partnership with Coursera, the University of Wisconsin-Madison will offer the first two of four pilot MOOCs this fall.
- "Video Games and Learning" and "Markets with Friction" will be available during the fall semester, with "Globalizing Higher Education" and "Research for the Knowledge Economy" becoming available in spring 2014.
- Accrediting groups are being formed to explore the possibility of offering credit for the courses, and the school may offer up to six more MOOCs in 2014 depending on how the pilot courses are received.
