2U partners with Habitat for Humanity on scholarship program
- 2U is partnering with Habitat for Humanity to deliver scholarships for four of its graduate programs.
- The scholarships will be available to Habitat for Humanity AmeriCorps Alumni Association members and are worth $10,000.
- The four programs include the Master of Arts in International Relations from American University's School of International Service, the Master of Public Administration from UNC-Chapel Hill's School of Government, the MBA program from UNC-Chapel Hill's Kenan-Flagler Business School, and the Master of Public Health from George Washington University's Milken Institute School of Public Health.
2U has seen significant success in helping non-profit higher ed institutions take their graduate programs online with its software-as-a-service platform. As it noted in its most recent earnings report a few weeks ago, its revenue is on the rise, its losses are decelerating, it continues to invest in growth, and it is on track to launch four more programs as scheduled.
Its goal all along has been to expand access to higher ed, and making it easier to take top-tier programs online is just part of that equation. These scholarships take that goal even further by making the opportunities more affordable for those eligible.
