- Integrated content services platform AcademicPub — which creates custom textbooks in digital and print formats — announced Wednesday the signing of 13 new publishing partners, pushing its total number of partners beyond 250.
- The new partners include Goodfellow Publishers, Kellogg School of Management, Plunkett Research, Pluto Journals, S. Karger AG, Medical and Scientific Publishers, Temple U. Press, The History Press Ltd., The MIT Press, U. of Arkansas Press, U. of Notre Dame Press, U. of Tennessee Press and U. of Texas Press.
- Additionally, parent company SharedBook Inc.'s CEO, Caroline Vanderlip, announced the promotion of VP of Product and UI Peter Budd to President of SharedBook/AcademicPub and VP of Operations David Brown to COO.
With its more than 250 publishing partners, AcademicPub offers what it says is the world's largest collection of chunked content for custom course materials. Its offerings aren't just limited to course materials, though: Just last week, it also announced the launch of a Canvas MOOC for "accidental project managers." Though it already started Nov. 18, the course targets those who find themselves as leaders or members of projects with little-to-no project management skills or knowledge.
