ATI Career Training Center shuts down its Oklahoma City campuses
- Private vocational school ATI Career Training Center closed its two Oklahoma City campuses at Shepherd Mall and near Crossroads Mall Friday.
- Nora House, director of the Oklahoma Board of Private Vocational Schools that regulates ATI, said that the company notified her of the closure plans on Nov. 1, and that it is her understanding that they are also closing their campuses in Florida, Arizona, New Mexico and Texas due to the company's name being "tarnished" by misreported graduate employment rates in Texas and Florida.
- House's agency has attempted to complete the school's closing in an orderly manner by allowing current students to complete their coursework without accepting new students and arranging for Platt College of Moore to accept the around 50 students in ATI's medical and dental assisting programs, though some students were still caught off guard by the closing and left confused about what comes next.
