- The search for the City College of San Francisco's next chancellor has been narrowed down to four choices.
- The candidates include former Houston Community College system deputy chancellor and COO Arthur Q. Tyler, former Johnson County Community College, Kansas, president Terry Calaway, American Association of State Colleges and Universities VP for administration and finance Cathy Perry-Jones, and Community College of Philadelphia president Stephen M. Curtis.
- The next chancellor will answer to Robert Agrella, a special trustee appointed by California in July following an accrediting agency's revelation that the school would lose its license next year.
Whoever finally takes on this job will have a lot weighing heavily on their shoulders, as there's a chance they could be the captain who goes down with the ship. The school is facing closure as early as next summer due to fiscal and governance issues.
