Columbia College Chicago allegedly retaliated against faculty-union leader
- In a complaint filed last week, the National Labor Relations Board charged Columbia College Chicago with cutting back photography instructor Diana Vallera's teaching assignments, accusing her of misconduct and threatening to fire or suspend her due to her role as president of the Part-Time Faculty Association.
- A mid-August meeting scheduled by the school to discuss disciplinary actions against Vallera has been postponed.
- A hearing is scheduled for late October and Columbia College has until September 11 to respond to the complaint, which is an amendment to a complaint filed in July.
