Dive Insight:
This course may seem on the surface to be a gimmick opportunity for credentialing, but in the near future, many colleges and universities will be scrambling to find professors who can effectively teach in traditional and digital classroom spaces.
Much in the way that journalists are now required to be great at reporting, social media engagement and blogging, professors will also be expected to be multi-talented in digital classroom response, social media engagement, and traditional mentoring. This will be the future for educating millennial and adult learners, with a goal of timely completion and workforce development at the forefront of higher learning.
