Fortune 500 companies offer classes for college credit
- Walmart, Starbucks, McDonald's and an increasing number of other Fortune 500 companies are offering their own courses, many of which are eligible for college credit.
- The training received in courses such as Starbucks' Barista Basics 101 and Jiffy Lube's finance fundamentals is recognized by several colleges via the American Council on Education's College Credit Recommendation Service.
- The programs are a win-win for the companies involved, as they result in higher-skilled workers and boost employee motivation.
