- After giving away millions in prize money to education tech Facebook developers last year, the Gates Foundation has partnered with the social media giant for two more HackEd hackathon events in April.
- An April 9 event at Facebook's Menlo Park headquarters will focus on app development, with a second, similar hackathon planned for April 24 at Facebook's London office.
- Additionally, Hackbright Academy will be working with the Menlo Park event to get all-female development teams to participate.
