Georgetown to create public policy school with $100M gift
- A $100-million gift to Georgetown University by businessman and Los Angeles Marathon owner Frank H. McCourt Jr. will fund the creation of the McCourt School of Public Policy.
- The gift is the largest in the school's history, and the new public policy school is the first to be created since 1957.
- The McCourt School will be home to the new Massive Data Institute, which will use "Big Data" to improve public policy decision-making, and the McCourt Fellows program, providing top students with full scholarships.
