Hundreds protest $3B in education cuts in Pa.
- More than 800 teachers, parents and students gathered in Harrisburg, Pa., Tuesday afternoon to protest Gov. Tom Corbett's education funding cuts.
- The rally was meant to encourage lawmakers to restore $3 billion in cuts made by Corbett to education over the last three years, and advocates are concerned that the cuts could lead to more school closures and layoffs.
- Corbett insists that he didn't cut state funding for K-12 and that the budget cuts happened because of the 2011 expiration of Pennsylvania's federal stimulus money.
