Have you had your eyes on a MacBook Pro recently, but just couldn't justify the high price point? Apple may have made the buying decision a little easier for some this week by reducing the education pricing on non-Retina units to $999.
That's $100 less than the previous price of $1099 that the laptops commanded—and $200 less than what non-education buyers will still have to fork over, 9to5 Mac reports.
Apple didn't make a big, official announcement with the change, but it did accompany a few other moves, including the release of a less expensive iPod touch and announcement the Apple has sold 100M iPod touches to date.
