Is UCLA the most popular school in America?
- The University of California at Los Angeles received 80,494 freshman applications, once again making it the most-applied-to university in the U.S.
- Statistics released Thursday show that, due to its high application volume, UCLA is also the hardest University of California campus for students to get into, accepting only 20.1% of its overall applicants.
- The statistics also show the continuing trend of UC campuses going after more out-of-state students for the additional $23,000 in tuition they pay, with those students making up at least one-third of the freshman classes admitted by UCLA, UC Berkeley and UC San Diego.
