Japanese MOOC provider Schoo raises $1.5M
- Japanese MOOC provider Schoo raised $1.5 million (152 million yen) in its latest investment round, led by Itochu Technology Ventures, Anri and Incubate Fund.
- Schoo, which was founded in 2012, is based in Tokyo and offers 130 different online courses to over 40,000 registered users.
- Schoo is focused solely on a Japanese user base and is aiming to broaden its appeal beyond office workers in their late-20s and early-30s as it attempts to pass one million users by the end of 2013.
