- Adaptive learning company Knewton and educational publisher Cengage Learning on Tuesday announced a partnership that will see Knewton's API incorporated in higher education Management and Sociology products on Cengage's MindTap platform.
- The technology will analyze data as students complete assignments, recording what they've learned while figuring out what to recommend and providing professors with real-time analytics, allowing more personalized instruction for problem areas.
- The new products are expected to launch in Fall 2015.
Cengage is the latest publisher to join the growing list of Knewton partners, which also includes universities and schools. Adaptive learning is a hot area in education right now, so it should come as no surprise that Cengage would seek to further improve its MindTap product with a personalized learning element.
