Longtime NIU administrator to retire in wake of FBI investigation
- Eddie Williams, a longtime Northern Illinois University campus vice president and chief of operations, will retire at the end of the month following a recent FBI investigation.
- The 68-year-old returned to work Friday following a two-month leave of absence that began at the start of the investigation into whether or not Williams used campus police for private security needs at a low-income housing development he owns near the school.
