Louisiana voters to decide on term limits for school board members
- Louisiana voters will decide Nov. 6 whether to impose three-term limits on school board members in all counties but Jefferson and Lafayette, which already have term limits in place.
- The term limits would take effect Jan. 1, 2014, and current longtime board members would still be able to serve three more terms under the new system.
- The measure was approved by the legislature this year and flew under the radar, without even school board members aware of its existence.
