Lugar and Hamilton go from Congress to the classroom as Indiana U faculty
- Former Indiana Gov. Mitch Daniels isn't the only politician in the state entering academia this month, as former Sen. Richard Lugar and former U.S. Rep. Lee Hamilton are joining the faculty at Indiana University's new School of Global and International Studies.
- The announcement, made Thursday, gives the school two of the country's foremost U.S. authorities on foreign relations, and Lugar is also donating his Senate papers to the Herman B Wells Library on the school's Bloomington campus.
- Lugar announced plans last month to run a Washington internship program and lecture at the University of Indianapolis, and he has also joined the German-Marshall Fund as a senior fellow.
