Methodist University offers free tuition to military
- Methodist University in Fayetteville is offering active-duty military personnel free tuition for up to four courses between now and July 15.
- The university made the offer as a response to the military's suspension of tuition assistance for soldiers, as 40 of the university's 85 students enrolled from Fort Bragg were set to miss out on the grants and another 100 were expected to be unable to register for classes due to the cuts.
- A total of six courses are eligible for the free tuition, and the university says it will increase class sizes depending on how many active-duty students register.
