Missouri university instructor jailed after threatening Facebook post
- A 57-year-old male faculty member at Northwest Missouri State University was jailed after a Facebook post that said he might climb the campus bell tower with a high-powered rifle.
- A message from the university emailed to students, faculty and staff said that the school would not tolerate threats or incidents of violence.
- According to the student newspaper, the post to another faculty member read in part: “By October, I’ll be wanting to get up to the top of the bell tower with a high powered rifle — with a good scope, and probably a gatling gun as well.”
