New home for old tech parts launches at IUPUI
- Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis' library is joining forces with local nonprofit RecycleForce to launch a small electronics recycling program.
- E-waste products ranging from tablets and cell phones to curling irons can be dropped off at the circulation desk on the library's second floor, where it will then be given to RecycleForce to be dismantled and recycled.
- The electronics recycling program is IUPUI's latest sustainability effort, joining the Learning Spaces III collaborative study environment, the setting of all library printers to a double-sided default and the formation of the library's "Green Team."
