- The New York Post reports that an email sent out to boosters and alumni from the prestigious Dalton School included names of students whose applications were pending, in addition names of students who were turned away.
- The school, whose graduates includes Anderson Cooper and Chevy Chase, has reportedly angered wealthy parents with the move.
- Jim Zulakis, the head of communications for the school, told the NYP that he was informed a breach of policy took place and that “Dalton’s policy is to treat information about applying families confidentially."
From the article:
"... We hear some parents are weighing legal action against the school but are hesitant because once a suit goes public, “It would be known that their kid didn’t get into Dalton,” said a parent. Meanwhile, acceptance letters from Dalton and other private schools are being sent out in the next week or two. ..."
