Pa. state system names next chancellor
- State University System of Florida chancellor Frank Brogan was hired Wednesday by the Pennsylvania State System of Higher Education's Board of Governors as the 14-university system's next head..
- Brogan, who was also Jeb Bush's lieutenant governor, was hired by a unanimous 15-0 vote and is the third consecutive Pennsylvania State System chancellor to come from the Sunshine State.
- Brogan's $327,500 salary is the highest in the state's government and he starts his new job Oct. 1.
