- Pearson is assisting Indiana Wesleyan University in creating a digital campus for launch in March 2014.
- The publishing giant is providing digital content, single sign-on eTextbooks, a cloud-based learning management system with built-in analytics, and a number of other services such as online course design, on-demand tutoring and tech support.
- The university has 12,500 online and non-residential students who will benefit, but the larger goal is for the digital campus to enhance face-to-face instruction, and provide a way to measure and improve the school's quality as a whole.
With publishers and universities both working to adapt to the changing technological landscape, this digital campus provides a win on both fronts. Don't be surprised if similar partnerships pop up soon as business models continue to shift.
