Pennsylvania's Harcum College offers Sandy victims free room and board
- Harcum College, a private school located in Bryn Mawr, Pa., is assisting New Jersey victims of Hurricane Sandy by covering the annual $8,600 room-and-board bill for an unlimited number of new applicants coming from eight counties impacted by the storm.

- Saint Peter's University in Jersey City, St. John's University in New York have both set up scholarships in the wake of the storm, and the New Jersey Higher Education Student Assistance Authority is allowing storm victims additional time to make loan payments.
