- The University of Maine System and the organization Educate Maine on Thursday announced the launch of a new program called Project Login, which will attempt to double the state's output of college computer science and information technology graduates in four years.
- In-state and national shortages in the workforce prompted the initiative, which is being funded by Bangor Savings Bank, Eastern Maine Health Systems, IDEXX, Maine Medical and Maine Health, TD Bank, Unum and WEX.
