Silverback Learning raises $2.5M in latest investment round
- Silverback Learning Solutions announced $2.5 million in funding from a collection of angel investors, which will help the Idaho-based education software provider give its Mileposts platform more exposure across the U.S., as well as helping it add more partner integrations.
- Silverback CEO Dr. Jim Lewis says that the platform's strength is in its development in-district, with a committee of educators tasked with developing something "teachers and administrators need and will use."
- Funders in the latest round included all of the company's existing board members, with ATA Ventures co-founder and partner Pete Thomas participating as a personal investor, and Lewis says the money will be used to help spread the platform through member schools in networks like the Association of Educational Service Agencies.
