Spring 2013 college enrollment falls 2.3%
- The National Student Clearinghouse Research Center's latest report, released Thursday, shows a 2.3% drop in college enrollment for spring 2013 compared to the previous year.
- Four-year, for-profit institutions experienced the largest decline with an 8.7% decrease, and four-year, private non-profit universities were the only institutions to see their enrollments rise, with an increase of 0.5% over the previous year.
- The center previously reported an enrollment drop of 1.8% for fall 2012 compared with the previous year.
