Success of 'Walking Dead' MOOC may lead to more
- University of California Irvine's MOOC on AMC's "The Walking Dead" drew more than 65,000 participants, a success that means the course itself will be the subject of further study.
- The class, offered in partnership with Instructure and AMC, could lead to other pieces of pop culture spawning online study courses, the MOOC provider said.
- For about 90% of the students, this was the first MOOC taken.
One student in this MOOC was a professor emerita at Hofstra University who had good things to say about the way the class handled physics. The complete results of a student survey can be found here [pdf link].
