U. of Illinois may strip embattled professor's tenure
- The University of Illinois Board of Trustees will hold a dismissal hearing this month on embattled engineering professor Louis Wozniak.
- Allegations of misconduct led UI President Bob Easter to recommend that Wozniak, a UI graduate and faculty member since 1966, be stripped of tenure; Wozniak was already prohibited from teaching in August 2010 due to several alleged incidents.
- Wozniak reportedly revealed a student's grade to others and sought student support following an incident in which he didn't receive a 2009 teaching award he received the most votes for, and he also allegedly videotaped students without consent and made an inappropriate sexual reference in an e-mail to students.
