U.S. Rep. Kennedy to lead Mass. STEM council
- U.S. Rep. Joseph Kennedy was appointed chairman of the Governor's Science, Technology, Engineering and Math Advisory Council in Massachusetts.
- Kennedy's appointment fills a position left vacant by outgoing Lt. Gov. Timothy Murray, who is stepping down June 2 to lead the Worcester Regional Chamber of Commerce.
- The council was founded in 2009 by Gov. Deval Patrick to promote STEM education in the state.
