HOBOKEN, NJ – November 9, 2018 - John Wiley and Sons, Inc. (NYSE:JWa) (NYSE:JWb) today announced the winners of the 2018 WileyPLUS Nexty Awards, the first in an annual awards program recognizing customers for exceptional use of digital course resources.
The WileyPLUS Nexty Awards program is focused on success in the digital classroom, coaching customers on best practices, and serving as peer leaders and drivers of product improvement. All award submissions were evaluated for overall course design, including inventive methods of using WileyPLUS including both on its own and integrated with other technology and tools, variety and depth of technology utilized, assessment practices, student communication policies and approaches to pedagogy. Applications were judged by a diverse panel of experts across Wiley’s marketing, product, editorial, product design, and customer success teams.

Best Overall Course Award (Higher Education): Liza Bondurant, Delta State University
Best Overall Course Award (K-12): Douglas Petrick, Upper St. Clair High School
Best Online Course Award: Kellie Grasman, Missouri University of Science and Technology
Student Engagement Award: Ashley Kruse, Texas State University
Best Multi-Section Course Award: Whitney Zimmerman, Pennsylvania State University
Most Innovative Course Award: Eric Wen, University of Hawaii, West Oahu
WileyPLUS Next Gen Partnership Award: Leslie Van Wolvelear, Oakton Community College
