Video highlights the use of Aperture Education’s Growth Strategies and Foundational Practices to support and empower students

(May 30, 2019) — Aperture Education has been selected as a Telly Award winner for its video highlighting the use of social-emotional learning strategies at North Belt Elementary School in the Humble Independent School District. The Telly Awards honors excellence in video and television across all screens and is judged by leaders from video platforms, television, streaming networks, and production companies including Vice, Vimeo, Hearst Digital Media, BuzzFeed and A&E Networks.

The DESSA Comprehensive SEL System from Aperture Education includes hundreds of Growth Strategies and Foundational Practices created by teachers, for teachers to support students’ social-emotional skills. They include activities and lessons that can be used with individual students, in small groups, whole-classrooms, or as take-home assignments. The video, “Strategies for Social Emotional Learning” features interviews with teachers, administrators describing how the Growth Strategies and Foundational Practices have helped students.
