Melissa King Named Ellucian Senior Vice President of Strategy and Operations
Industry veteran will enhance Ellucian’s global market strategy and portfolio alignment
RESTON, Va.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Ellucian, the world’s leading provider of software and services built to power higher education, today announced that it has appointed Melissa King to its executive team to serve as senior vice president of strategy and operations. In her new role, King is responsible for the identification and development of business opportunities to expand Ellucian’s global market presence and alignment of solution portfolio, sales operations, go-to-market methodologies, and strategic partnerships required for success.
King has spent more than 20 years at Ellucian (and its predecessor company, SunGard Higher Education), starting as an engineer focused on technology architecture and management and moving into strategic roles leading product strategy and propelling global expansion. Previously, King served as vice president of research and development, where she led global product development teams through the delivery of centralized common functions and services, including engineering experience centers, test engineering, and user experience design.
