Slido, a leading Q&A and polling platform that bridges the gap between speakers and their audiences, today announces the launch of its add-on for Google Slides as the company joins the Google for Education Partner Program as a Premier Partner.
In a launch event held today in New York (NY, USA) and co-hosted by Google for Education, Slido has unveiled its product integration with Google Slides, which aims to help professors and higher education teachers to deliver more interactive presentations through easy real-time polling and Q&A.
Using Slido for Google Slides, professors and teachers can quickly and easily create live polls, display results and respond to questions displayed on screen without the need to switch applications, minimizing any audio-visual or technical support requirements.
Slido CEO Peter Komornik commented: “Launching Slido for Google Slides and joining the Google for Education Partner Program is a special milestone for us. We have our roots in higher education; Slido began as a student feedback tool back when I was working for Google and teaching a course at a local university. The vision from the beginning was to help professors deliver more effective and engaging lectures by giving a voice to their students.
“I’m delighted that we now have an easy integration with Google Slides that will allow us to take our learnings from the commercial world and bring it back to education.“
Juraj Pal, Head of Strategic Partnerships at Slido, noted: “Our goal was to create an experience where the professors won’t even realize that they are using another platform. Adding interactive polls or live Q&A to their lectures should become an effortless and intuitive part of creating their presentations.”
Peter Komornik added: “Ultimately, we are doing this for the students, to help them get the most value from their education by making classes more engaging and conversational.”
The Slido for Google Slides add-on, which to date has been available for a limited number of users via an early access program, is now available in beta version for Slido users.
