Walch Mathematics, the leader in providing tailored curriculum resources to districts and the developer of the ground-breaking Curriculum Engine, announces its StartNow program for the 2020/2021 school year.
Schools and districts who plan on using the Curriculum Engine for High School Math in 2020/2021 will be given free and immediate access to the platform to support remote and in-class learning for the balance of this school year. The Curriculum Engine services team can help educators get up and running with tailored resources quickly, so they can focus on teaching.
The Curriculum Engine is the only online platform that provides robust, aligned core resources and unlimited supplemental resources at a reasonable price, facilitates collaboration and best practices around instruction, and seamlessly supports the “classroom to remote” learning continuum.
Curriculum leaders and teachers spend too much of their limited time searching the web or otherwise trying to fill gaps in existing resources. By offering them authentic, aligned core and supplemental resources on the turnkey Curriculum Engine platform, and providing print resources as well, Walch helps free up time and energy so that it can be spent with students.
“We think it’s odd to offer a platform without courses. We can’t understand why a school district would force teachers to follow a script. We think it’s crazy that schools have to purchase Learning Management Systems, Core Curriculum, Assessment Systems, and Supplemental Resources separately,” said Al Noyes, Walch Mathematics’ President. “In today’s environment, it’s clearer than ever that a simple, complete online platform that gives the teacher what s/he needs to support in-class and remote learning in one place makes sense.”
Joanne Whitley, Walch’s Senior Director of Mathematics noted that, “Very few school districts and very few teachers are happy with the resources they have. Our educators in the classroom are the key to improved student performance, and it’s time we stopped hampering them with a grab bag of one-size-fits-all ill-fitting resources. The Curriculum Engine comes ready to use, with the high school math resources they need. Importantly, it also gives them the freedom to add their own content and tailor instruction and courses as needed. We think it’s the future.”
The Curriculum Engine is available today with NC Math 1, 2, 3, and 4; GSE Algebra 1, Geometry, and Algebra 2; Florida Algebra 1, Geometry, and Algebra 2; CCSS Math 1, 2, and 3; and CCSS Algebra 1, Geometry, and Algebra 2. Middle school math and TEKS math courses are in development.
