- In its latest partnership, 2U, Inc. is working with the Family Institute at Northwestern University to offer an online Master of Arts in Counseling degree program dubbed Counseling@Northwestern.
- The program's courses will begin in spring 2015, with applications being accepted this fall, and all courses and clinical training will be based on Council for Accreditation of Counseling and Related Educational Programs (CACREP) standards.
- Specifically, the release states the program will include collaborative live classes, self-paced coursework including video case studies and research, courses designed and taught by Northwestern faculty, and two years of clinical practicum and internships based on the student's location and career goals.

This is yet another big move for 2U, which continues to align itself with some of the nation's top schools as it helps take their degree programs online. 2U CEO and Co-Founder Chip Paucek recognizes this in the release, saying, "Northwestern University is among the world's premier research universities and its counseling program is nationally renowned for preparing highly effective counseling professionals." More details on this program are expected to be announced this fall.
