This morning at the American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS) Forum on Science & Technology Policy in Washington, D.C., Anant Agarwal, President of edX, Kevin Werbach, a Wharton School and Coursera professor, and Wendy Newstetter, Director of Educational Research and Innovation at the Georgia Institute of Technology's College of Engineering, shared their thoughts on MOOCs and the future of higher education at a panel called "Re-imagining STEM Higher Education in the Worldwide Classroom."
During his presentation, Agarwal said that edX, the Harvard and MIT-funded MOOC provider, will be announcing a "significant number" of new university partnerships "in the next few weeks."
Agarwal did not elaborate any further on who would be partnering with edX or when exactly the expected partnerships would be made official.
