U of Utah recruiting student entrepreneurs
- The University of Utah’s Lassonde Entrepreneur Institute is getting ready to launch a major expansion by welcoming the 400 top student entrepreneurs.
- Lassonde Studios—a $45 million building with space for students to live, create products, and start companies—will open in the fall of 2016, according to the Lassonde Entrepreneur Institute.
- The institute is recruiting student entrepreneurs from all over the world and offering $3 million in scholarships.
The Lassonde Entrepreneur Institute has been supporting student entrepreneurs for years, and Utah itself is known as an attractive place for business. This latest initiative will build on the university’s existing reputation and offer students a more supportive environment than ever to kickstart their careers while getting a degree. According to the institute, the new building features a 20,000-square-foot workspace and four floors of housing. Admission is on a rolling basis. The “Lassonde 400,” once identified, will certainly be students to watch.
